On Tuesday, March 5, the New York School of Interior Design held its Gala 2024 in a private club in New York City, securing more than $667,000 for the College’s scholarship funds. This year, NYSID honored Erick Espinoza ‘13 (BFA) with the Rising Star Award, Ann Pyne/McMillen Inc with the Albert Hadley Lifetime Achievement Award, and Nate Berkus with the Larry Kravet Design Industry Leadership Award.
On January 11, artist, sustainability consultant, and NYSID Faculty Member Seema Lisa Pandya mingled with tastemakers and art collectors at the opening of her first art show in her ancestral home of India. It was called “Spanda: Reverberations of the Cosmos.”

The Kravet Student Design Forum presented NYSID students with inspiration, influences, and practical advice from every corner of the residential design sector.

Dialogues on Design
Dialogues on Design consists of a series of four moderated conversations with prominent interior designers where each discusses their approach to their work — their inspiration and influences, their response to trends, and the evolution of the field. We are happy to announce that this year these conversations with leaders in the design world will be moderated by Dennis Scully from Business of Home. Dennis is the host of the BOH podcast, where he explores changes and challenges in facing the Interior Design community.
